Homemade Strawberry Chips: Prevent Diabetes And Lose Weight


Strawberries are a great source of Vitamin C and fiber, also contain the minerals magnesium, potassium and calcium. They are a height nutrition density food and are the key to weight loss and healthy eating. If you want to practice gluten free, dairy free, egg free and sugar free diets, homemade strawberry chips are a great choice for you.

Strawberries are packed with ellagic acid and the anthocyanins which stimulates the production of a hormone called adiponectin. Adiponectin improves the work of your metabolism and suppresses your appetite.

According to some recent studies, type 2 diabetes can be decreased by regular intake of strawberries. Blood sugar levels are controlled by slowing the rate of digestions of starchy foods, ellagic acid and anthocyanins aid.

Homemade Strawberry Chips Recipe:


-1/2 cup of raw honey

-1/2 cup of water

-12 rinsed and hulled strawberries


Put the honey and water in a saucepan to boil. Stir continually until the honey has dissolved and let it cool completely.  Let the oven preheat to 200 degrees while slicing the strawberries lengthwise as thinly as possible. Take the cooled syrup of honey and water the dip the strawberry slices in it. That dipped, lay them on a baking sheet lined with parchment.  Lower the oven temperature and put the prepared strawberries to bake for 2 hours until they dry out. When dried out, take them out from the oven and place on a cooling rack.
